AI visibility in client reports

The AI visibility section shows whether AI assistants mention your client when people ask about what the client offers. Every month, Report Falcon asks ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Gemini the same questions and checks each answer for the client's name and website.

How it works

  1. Questions come from real searches. At the first check, Report Falcon takes the client's top Search Console searches that don't include the brand name, up to 10. You can change them at any time.
  2. Each question goes to 4 AI assistants. ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Gemini, asked as if from the client's country.
  3. Each answer is checked. It counts as a mention when it names the client (one of its brand terms) or its website, and as a citation when it links to the client's website as a source.
  4. It runs every month on its own. A check takes a few minutes; while it runs, the section shows how many answers are in.

Choose the questions

  1. Open Edit client and find the AI visibility card.
  2. Write one question per line, up to 10. Use the searches people type to find businesses like your client, such as "emergency dentist denver" or "best family dentist near me".
  3. Or click Suggest to fill them in from the client's top non-branded Search Console searches, then edit the list.
  4. Pick the country under Ask as if from, then click Save.

Leave the questions empty and they're filled in from Search Console at the first check. A client without Search Console needs questions written by hand.

What the section shows

The AI visibility report section: mentioned in 57% of AI answers, up 11 points, the website cited 6 times, a tile per AI assistant, a table of ten questions with Cited, Mentioned, Not mentioned or No AI answer per assistant, and the websites AI cites most
Your team sees the switch and the Run AI check now and Edit questions buttons. Clients see only the results.
  • Mentioned in AI answers: the share of answers that name the client, with the change in points since the last check.
  • Website cited as a source: how many answers link to the client's website.
  • One tile per AI assistant, so you can see where the client shows up most.
  • Questions checked: a table with each question and the result per assistant: Cited, Mentioned, Not mentioned, or No AI answer.
  • Websites AI cites most: the other websites the assistants used as sources. They show who AI trusts on the topic, which makes them good targets for listings, reviews and PR.

"No AI answer" means the assistant didn't answer that search with AI. It's common for Google AI Overviews, which only appear for some searches.

Run a check now

Click Run AI check now under the section to check a client right away, for example after changing the questions. You can do it once a day per client. The section shows how many answers are in so far and fills in by itself when the check is done, so you can keep working on the report meanwhile.

What clients see

Clients see the latest finished results on the live link, in shared reports and in PDFs. They never see a check in progress, the buttons or any notes meant for your team. Before the first check finishes, the section is left out for clients.

Like every section, AI visibility has a Shown / Hidden switch and arrows to move it. With the positive-only report, a lower mention rate is shown without its change. More in Show, hide and reorder sections.

Switch monthly checks off

Untick Check AI visibility every month in the AI visibility card under Edit client. The last results stay in the report, and you can still run a check by hand.

Good to know

AI answers change from person to person and day to day. The section is a monthly sample of the same questions, so the trend over several months says more than a single check. Shared reports keep the results they were shared with.
