ReportFalcon reads your clients' Google Search Console and Google Analytics 4 data through one email address: your agency's reporting email. Your client adds it as a user in their Google accounts, you pick their property, and the report fills itself in. Nobody shares a password or signs in to Google for you.
Your reporting email
Every agency gets its own reporting email, created automatically when you start. It belongs to your agency only: no other agency can use it. It only has read access, so it can never change anything in your client's Google accounts.
- Open Google access. Click Google access in the sidebar.
- Copy the email. Under Your reporting email, click Copy email. It ends in
.iam.gserviceaccount.com. - Send your client the instructions. Under Message to send clients there's a ready-written message with your email and the steps below. Click Copy message and paste it into an email to your client.
What your client does in Search Console
Your client needs to be an Owner of the property in Search Console to add users.
- Open Search Console. Go to search.google.com/search-console and select the website.
- Go to the users page. Click Settings → Users and permissions → Add user.
- Add the reporting email. Paste your reporting email, choose the permission Restricted, and click Add.
What your client does in GA4
Your client needs to be an Administrator of the property in Google Analytics to add users.
- Open Google Analytics. Go to analytics.google.com and select the website's property.
- Go to property access. Click Admin (the gear icon, bottom left) → Property access management (under Property settings).
- Add a user. Click the + button → Add users.
- Add the reporting email. Paste your reporting email, untick Notify new users by email, choose the role Viewer, and click Add.
If you already manage your client's Search Console or GA4 yourself, you can add the reporting email with the same steps. The message on the Google access page says so too: add it yourself, or ask the client to.
Pick the properties in ReportFalcon
Once your client has added the email, connect their data:
- Open the client's settings. On the dashboard, click the pencil icon on the client's card. For a new client, click Add client instead.
- Check Access via. In the Data sources card, Access via should show your reporting email.
- Click Reload properties. The line next to it updates, for example "Found 5 Search Console and 5 GA4 properties."
- Pick the properties. Choose the client's site under Search Console property and their property under GA4 property. Domain properties in Search Console start with
sc-domain:. - Save. Click Save changes (or Add client). The report opens with their data.
You don't need both. A client with only Search Console, or only GA4, still gets a full report for that source. Sources that aren't connected are simply left out, and only your team sees a note about them.
New access can take a minute to show up. If the property still isn't in the list, see Fix connection problems.
Next, read your client's report or share it.
